The manufacturing processes of the Kuopont powder coatings are described as below:

Material weighing process

The raw materials used in our products are from renowned suppliers such as DSM, UCB, Bayer, BASF, DuPont, Nanya etc. After the in-coming raw material quality inspection, the material weighing process is conducted by the weighing personnel according to the bill of material.

Extrusion process

The prepared raw materials are well mixed with a pre-mixer and then fed to an extruder to go through heating, blending and extruding processes. The extrudate coming out of the extruder is calendered to form thin sheet before cooled down with a cooling belt. The semi-finished product flakes are stored in barrels after crushing the cooled sheet into flakes.

Grinding and classifying process

The semi-finished product flakes are transported into a grinder for pulverization through high-speed milling, which is followed by a cyclone separator to classify the powder within required particle size range. The product is then packaged and labeled.

Post-mixing process

According to product design requirements such as special metallic effects or pattern effects, a post-mixing processing is performed. In addition to the general V-shape mixer, a bonding machine is employed, through technology cooperation with Benda-Lutz Corporation, so that higher product stability and spraying effectiveness of the special powders are achieved.

Warehousing process

The product is moved to the warehouse after strict quality control inspection approval. Storage management is conducted based on the product name, batch number, and quantity.
